The ProcureInsight Assessment Tool is a proprietary solution which supports inspection of the organization’s total procurement and supply chain management maturity to a degree that is not available with other maturity assessment models and solutions. The Project Strategy Consulting Group developed this mechanism, working with Intertek Group plc., to be able to quickly and effectually evaluate information from several established, reputable maturity models and best practice documentation associated with procurement, supply-chain, acquisitions, contracts management, and other related practice competencies. These include those developed by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, the American Purchasing Society, NIGP: The Institute for Public Procurement, Cranfield University’s Centre for Strategic Procurement and Supply Management, as well as other public and academic sources.
This resource allows the PSCG to provide its clients with the most robust set of evaluation parameters that are appropriate to each client’s unique business situation, strategy, and environment. The solution consists of an Assessment and an Improvement tool and all information is kept in a centralized database and is provided to the user through advanced and up-to-the-minute technology. The solution provides security both for access to the application and on the data level.
The Assessment Tool is a cutting-edge solution for supporting the assessors in their work. The solution allows an assessment to be split into several smaller assessments which can be assigned to various members of the consulting team. A workflow wizard guides the user through the process of selecting the right questions for the assessment and keeps track of the status. The recorded data can be submitted to the database anytime. An advanced graphical analysis tool allows the user both to “drag and drop” and drill-down into the results. Merge of assessments gives the user the possibility to investigate maturity in various and differing parts of the organization, such as:
- by geographic region (e.g., North America, Southern Counties, Ward A), and/or
- program or line of business (e.g., Materials Management, Sustainability, etc.), and/or
- any other desired indicators and/or results areas.
The Improvement tool is built on the same base as the Assessment tool and provides the same advanced analysis and reporting possibilities, as well as possibilities for search and filtering of the data results. An improvement plan is iteratively built by use of a “shopping-cart” methodology. The resulting plan is used to increase the organization’s maturity and ensure that the delivered procurement / SCM recommendation set is appropriate and comprehensive for each client’s unique needs for results-based management of its assets and processes.
